Forthcoming Educational Programs
At the Carolina Blues Preservation Society, we believe the blues is more than music—it’s a living tradition meant to be shared, studied, and passed on. As we continue to celebrate the rich heritage of blues throughout the Carolinas and beyond, we are excited to develop a series of educational workshops designed for musicians, songwriters, educators, and blues enthusiasts of all experience levels.
Planned programs may include Blues Guitar Foundations, exploring classic Piedmont and Delta techniques; The Art of Blues Songwriting, focusing on storytelling, lyric development, and song structure; and Finding Your Voice in the Blues, a workshop dedicated to vocal expression and performance confidence. Additional offerings may include Blues Harmonica Essentials, Rhythm and Groove for Blues Bands, and The Business of Being a Blues Musician, which provide practical guidance on booking performances, building audiences, and navigating today’s music industry.
Participants can also look forward to special masterclasses with acclaimed regional and national artists, discussions on blues history and cultural preservation, and collaborative jam sessions that encourage mentorship and community building.
These forthcoming educational programs reflect our commitment to preserving the blues while inspiring the next generation of musicians. Stay tuned for announcements, schedules, and registration opportunities as we continue creating meaningful ways to learn, connect, and keep the blues alive.
